Sing for Their Supper III
Sunday, February 26, 2017, 3:00 pm
Milton Community Concerts presents the third annual “Sing For Their Supper”, a free benefit concert, on Sunday, February 26th at 3pm at First Parish Church of Milton (535 Canton Avenue). This popular event will feature ten local opera singers, all of whom will be donating their time and talents to raise money for the Milton Residents Fund and the Milton Food Pantry.

This year’s concert features a completely new lineup of artists: sopranos Mara Bonde, Erica Petrocelli, Sonja Tengblad, and Bethany Worrell; mezzo-sopranos Sandra Piques Eddy and Jaime Korkos; tenors Ethan Bremner and Brian Landry; and baritones David McFerrin and Joshua Quinn. Individually they have sung roles with many notable opera companies, including the Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, Seattle Opera, Opera Theater of St. Louis, and Santa Fe Opera. They have sung in such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and at the Caramoor, Ravinia, and Spoleto festivals. Locally many have appeared with Boston Lyric Opera, Boston Baroque, and the Handel and Haydn Society, among others.
During this concert each singer will be offering their favorite selections from opera, musical theater, and the Great American Songbook. Also appearing will be guest vocalists Grace Allendorf, Tamara Ryan, and Emily Tweedy. The pianist will be Timothy Steele.

Admission to this concert is free. A free-will offering will be taken and all proceeds will go directly to the two local charities. The concert is supported in part by a grant from the Milton Cultural Council.
